VAM SIE Ethiopia

VAM SIE is the geo-information platform server of the Ethiopian Mapping Task Force,
accessible through the web. This system was set-up in Addis Ababa, in july 2004 with the support of WFP (HQ VAM unit).
The Ethiopian Mapping Task Force is an unformal working group, launched in January 2004, composed by different
organizations, involved in operational thematic mapping in Ethiopia: some governmental organizations and services
(DDPC, CSA, Ethiopian Mapping Authority, NMSA), UN agencies (WFP, FAO, UNICEF, OCHA, WHO...),
USAID-FEWS, EU delegation in Ethiopia, research institutes (ILRI, IRD...), NGO's.
The secretariat of the Mapping task force is WFP (VAM unit).
